Morte

"Every soul will taste of death. Then unto Us ye will be returned."

(Surah Al-Ankabut: 57)

One day, Imam Al Ghazali gathered with his disciples and followers. Then Imam Al-Ghazali asked:

"What is most close to us in this world?"

Some of them answered with; parents, teachers, friends and relatives.

Imam Ghazali said all those are the correct. But the most close to us is "death". That is why Allah S.W.T had promised that every soul will surely die.

Are you prepared?

Guiding Light

I can't find the words to say,
They're overdue.
I've traveled half the world to say,
I belong to You.
(Muse, I Belong to You)

O Allah, please guide us.

"Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient."

(Surah al-Hadid: 16)

Night and Day

Lo! in the creation of the heavens and the earth , and the difference of night and day , and the ships which run upon the sea with that which is of use to men , and the water which Allah sendeth down from the sky , thereby reviving the earth after its death , and dispersing all kinds of beasts therein , and ( in ) the ordinance of the winds , and the clouds obedient between heaven and earth : are signs ( of Allah ' s sovereignty ) for people who have sense.

(Surah Al-Baqarah: 164)

Iqra'

"Recite in the name of your Lord who created -,
Created man from a clinging substance.
Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous -,
Who taught by the pen -,
Taught man that which he knew not."

(Surah Al-Alaq: 1-5)

Iqra’, the first revelation came to our beloved Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. The verses, commanding us to read (or learn), but not only “blindly” read. One should read with heart, with pure understanding. What’s the point of reading without understanding them? Useless right?

All in all, it's not about how much do you read, but it’s about how much do you understand.
